Scary!

According to Mike Moore:

The 3 richest men in th USA own more combined than the combined assets of the populations of the world's 60 poorest countries.

50% of people on earth have never made a phone call.

The proposed combined budgets for the pentagon over the next 5 years is $1.6 trillion. The estimated amount needed to renovate and upgrade every school in America - $122 billion.

Scary stuff.

I also recall reading this poster that was on the wall in my Geography classroom in year 9:

"It is estimated that it would cost $2 billion dollars to adequatly feed, house, clothe, and educate the world's population. The same amount as the world spends on arms every 2 weeks."
