So I've just strated reading a new book - Possession by A.S.Byatt. Have you read it? It was recommended to me by a friend who is an English/Drama teacher. And I'm 2 pages in, and already I'm thinking "This book's gonna be hard work". Oh-oh. Consider this excerpt:
"Here Henry Randolf Ash had come, cramming his elastic mind and memory with unconsidered trifles from History and Topography, from the felicitous alphabeticl conjunctions of Science and Miscellaneous - Dancing, Deaf and Dumb... In his day, works on evolution had been catalogued under Pre-Adamite Man. Roland had only recently discovered that the London Library possessed Ash's own copy of Vico's Principj di Scienza Nuova." - (Byatt, 1990. p2)
Oh lord.
*phew* - Wish me luck.
